As the driving force behind Thompson, Mark leverages his experience and leadership in Project and Development Management to guide complex projects from inception to completion. With a focus on sustainability, he ensures that every design aligns with environmental goals while meeting client needs.

Led by Mark Thompson, a Senior Project Manager, RIBA Architect, and Green Star Accredited Professional, the firm brings over 20 years of experience in Project Management, Development Management, and Sustainability.

Mark has held key roles at globally renowned firms such as Goodman and Foster + Partners. At Goodman, he delivered $400 million in projects, covering 125,000 m² of premium industrial and office space. He managed the initiation, design, and delivery of developments for high-profile clients, including multiple Green Star projects, one of which was New Zealand’s first 6-Star Green Star industrial warehouse. He ensured each project balanced functionality and efficiency, and he consistently integrated sustainability into designs to meet the demands of the modern industry.

Mark worked as an Architect and Project Manager at Foster + Partners, a global studio for sustainable architecture, urbanism, engineering and design. Gaining six years of invaluable experience in these roles, Mark contributed to the design and delivery of world-class projects, including airports, offices, stadiums, hotels and universities. Mark’s involvement comprised design from the earliest sketch through to strategic management, construction drawings, project completion and handover.
